I read an interesting question about mutt
on IRC some days ago, which
was: how do I find out which threads I have trolled^W
taken part in.
Obviously, there’s ~P
to filter the mails I have sent (which uses
addresses declared through the alternates
config directives to know
who I am). But how do I find about the whole thread?
Easily enough, one can wrap a given search through ~(…)
so that the
whole threads containing the matching mails are selected. In this case:
~(~P)
.
Given the amount of outstanding requests on debian-release@
, one can
use the following to only see the threads with unread mails: ~(~N)
,
which helps spotting the threads where attention is needed. Thinking
of it, that probably should become the default when opening a given
Maildir… Gotta love people with interesting questions.
